PSA: Banana Boat 101 Days of Summer Play Pledge

This past Saturday, one of my blogging sistas Andrea of Savvy Sassy Moms invited me and my son to a Banana Boat 101 Days of Summer Play Event to celebrate the summer season and the launch of Banana Boat’s new Natural Reflect Mineral Sunscreen Line (the first mineral sunscreen available in the mass market)

My son had a great time at this fun picnic in the park jumping rope, hula hooping, doing crafts and lubing up with  Natural Reflect (he’s used to this kind of thing with a mom who is a beauty blogger & obsessed with sun protection)

The focus of this summer soiree was to promote Banana Boat’s 101 Days of Summer Play, a seasonal campaign that is encouraging families across the U.S. to create and capture happy, healthy summer memories, while highlighting the importance of sun protection. Banana Boat is encouraging parents across the country to take its 101 Days of Summer Play Pledge

By taking the pledge on the Banana Boat Facebook page, parents are making a commitment to enable and encourage their children to play outside in the sun every day, all season long. The most exciting part of this campaign is that for each pledge taken, Banana Boat will donate one bottle of Natural Reflect Sunscreen Lotion (up to 10,000 bottles) to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a nonprofit, residential summer camp and year-round center serving children who are coping with cancer and other serious illnesses. The donated sunscreen will help keep the Hole in the Wall campers and their counselors protected from the sun this summer.

So what are you waiting for? Take this worthwhile pledge, slather yourself with this fabulous new mineral sunscreen and head outdoors and immerse yourself in this bright and vibrant season.

Disclosure: Banana Boat invited me to this fun summer gathering and compensated me to spread the word about their summer campaign. However, I am passionate about diligent use of SPF and sharing this important message is dear to my heart.
