DHC Deep Cleansing Oil: A Japanese Favorite Impresses Stateside

Deep Cleansing Oil

DHC Skincare is a cult favorite top selling skin care brand in Japan that is on it’s way to becoming a US favorite thanks to it’s availability and exposure via the swoon worthy online beauty retailer Dermstore. Wondering what all the hype is about? DHC’s secret ingredient is virgin olive oil, a highly effective, vitamin-rich oil which fights free radicals and thoroughly nourishes the skin while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. DHC’s products combine the best of nature and science to create superior skincare products that soothe, hydrate, revitalize and renew your skin.

Since I am rather smitten and laser focused on all things oils these days, I was very excited to investigate the DHC Skincare line further and tryout their hero product(s) and all paths led me to their cleansing oil.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil ($28) is a hydrating, skin-nourishing cleanser that is used on dry skin to remove excess oil, makeup, dirt and impurities. This deep cleanser is infused with olive oil and vitamin E, which thoroughly cleanses, nourishes and hydrates the skin, while at the same time it never leaves behind a greasy residue.

What did I LOVE about DHC Deep Cleansing Oil? It felt lovely and hydrating going onto my skin, but the best part is that it easily removed all traces of make-up with very little effort. Not only does this oil beautifully clean your skin, it also nourishes and hydrates, giving you two benefits in one product. So don’t be afraid of an oily greasy residue being left behind, that out dated perception of cloying oil products is a thing of the past.

I can see why this product gets such rave reviews in Japan – it’s simple, effective, affordable and adds a nice suppleness and glow to your skin. This one is a keeper! You can find the entire DHC Skincare line at Dermstore.

Disclosure: I partnered with Dermstore on this post, but all opinions and affinity for all things oil are my own.

I have been using this for years! It sounds counter-intuitive to put oil on a possibly oily skin, but it DOES all wash right off, and leave you smooth, clean, and non-oily. Only apply it to DRY skin, and rub in well., then wash off. I am so happy with this, I am never without it! Yay, DHC!
