Fresh & Easy New Flatbread Pizzas: Fast & Inspired Appetizers That Are Perfect for Entertaining

Don’t the flatbreads pictured above look totally tasty? Would you believe that I picked them up at my local Fresh & Easy neighborhood market? The foodie in me was quite impressed by the variety of heat and serve, affordable inspired options available at Fresh & Easy. Being part of a foodie family, I am always looking for creative and delicious options to serve to my discerning hubby and son, and I was excited to discover that F&E has a variety of inspired meal and appetizer options that would be a nice addition to our mix.

So last night, just as the sun was setting on a gorgeous balmy Los Angeles evening, I thought it was the perfect time to quickly heat up a couple of F&E’s new Italian Kitchen To Go Flatbreads, pour a couple glasses of buttery Chardonnay (apple juice for my 10 year old 😉 ), sit on my patio and enjoy an easy breezy appetizer course.

I chose to serve the mouth watering Prosciutto & Apricot Flatbread made with Prosciutto, Marscarpone Cheese and Arugula and an Apricot Spread along with the sure-to-be-a hit Garlic Parmesan Flatbread made with Roasted Garlic and Parmesan. Here’s what they looked like right out of the package before heating

And the preparation was a cinch, I put the pizzas on a baking pan in the oven for about 10-12 minutes. While they were cooking, I snazzed up a platter with some basil from my garden along with some sliced tomatoes and sweet yellow plums, because I always feel that an eye catching presentation makes everything so much more enjoyable. After the pizzas were warm and a tiny bit bubbly, I let them cool for a couple of moments, put them on my pretty garnished plate and headed outside to enjoy this quick and inspired appetizer course. I really loved how nicely they paired with my creamy Chardonnay

Not only do these flatbreads look yummy and appetizing, they taste really good too! My personal fav was the Prosciutto & Apricot Flatbread Pizza because I loved the combo of sweet and salty, while my garlic lovin’ boys much preferred the Garlic Parm Flatbread. Fresh & Easy’s new Flatbread Pizzas are really perfect for entertaining because they are budget friendly, present beautifully, are simple to prepare, and are inspired enough to impress foodies.
