Sally Hershberger Los Angeles: A Chic Space, Top Notch Service & Uber Talented Stylists

Sally H Sign

About a month ago, I was invited to checkout the much touted Sally Hershberger Salon in Los Angeles for color and a cut, that in all honesty surpassed my expectations. I was beyond impressed with the swanky modern inviting space, the superb customer service and the gifted stylists who coiffed and colored my hair into a stunning finished style.

I began my visit in the skilled hands of celebrity colorist Sulekha Hilton who honed her craft at places like John Frieda Salon. Sulekha is super cool, down to earth and totally knows the art of hair color. She nailed my color right off the bat, noticing that I was washed out and needed a deep chocolate brown that would make my features pop and also that would hold up over time. She also suggested adding in some warm caramel highlights that she created using the artistic balayage (freehand painting of highlights) technique. I also loved that before she applied my color she used Dr Hauschka’s nourishing and yummy smelling Neem Oil to protect and hydrate my hair and I loved this added touch!

Statement Making Nail Polish: Zoya PixieDust Summer 2013 Collection

https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/283958_10151585959353815_2098772706_n.jpgIf you are looking for some fabulous, sparkly, unique show stopping nails this summer you won’t be disappointed with Zoya PixieDust Summer 2013 Collection. This might very well be one of Zoya’s most inspired collections to date! The PixieDust formula and texture is infused with the most gorgeous sparkle, magic and wonder, and add to that an assortment of six swoon-worthy summer hues and you can’t help but smile about these amazing new polishes!

PixieDust is a long-wearing, fast drying, textured, matte nail polish with a glistening sparkle and sugary finish unlike any other polish. The Pixie Polishes remind me of the way the sand sparkles when the sunlight hits it in just the right way and it is so fabulous and incredibly unique that people stop me all the time when I’m wearing it.

The key to PixieDust looking FAB is all about applying it correctly: You DO NOT use a base coat or top coat, I repeat NO base or top! You just apply 1-3 thin coats of polish and allow it to dry completely between layers for the full Pixie effect and it only takes about 10 minutes for this polish to dry down completely matte. Once this polish is dry, you will have amazing matte, textured nails that are ultra-glittery!
