JEWELRY

La Mer Collections Women’s Carbon Multichain Wrap Watch ($120)

I just love this edgy, stylish and chic gunmetal multi-chain wrap watch. It is more than just a watch, it is a statement making accessory too! People stop me all the time to ask were I got my fab watch from and now you know. So cool!

Kendra Scott Tana Ring in Light Blue ($85)

It is no secret that adore the gorgeous and unique pieces of jewelry from Kendra Scott! One might say that I am just a wee bit obsessed with her creations ever since I discovered her store in Beverly Hills. I wear her show stopping jewelry all the time! This light blue quartz Tana ring is my latest obsession, I love the chunky lucid stone and the see through filigree detailing, it is ridiculously gorgeous in real life = LOVE!

Blue Candy Jewelry Lolipop Sky Blue Quartz ($125)

I recently discovered Blue Candy Jewelry at the Angeleno Magazine Red Carpet Ready event and absolutely fell in love with these chic gorgeous semi-precious stone works of art by local designer Lisa Shapiro. She has so many swoon worthy pieces it was hard to pick just one for this Mother’s Day guide, but I went with her signature Lolipop Sky Blue Quartz earrings in gold vermeil. The facets of these earrings is what makes them truly amazing and the color is just stunning!

SHOES

Sole Society Taryn Peep Toe Wedge in Tangerine ($49.95)

I just discovered this amazing site that you join for free and they have a fabulous selection of designer quality, on-trend shoes at unbelievable prices (and free shipping both ways, love that!) The Taryn Peep Toe Wedge in Tangerine is da’bomb! It is a fabulous suede platform wedge espadrille in the ‘it’ color of the season, tangerine! It’s a super comfortable, well made shoe that can take you from day to night, love it!

Sanuk Ibiza Gem Black ($34)

Sanuk shoes are super cute, fun and crazy comfortable! They are a new rival for my beloved Havaianas which is saying alot! I just love this circular rubber strap with black bling, comfy and chic at the same time. This will make a great vaca shoe that you can wear on the beach or for evening cocktails.

Matiko Echo in Light Blue ($194.99)

I saw these shoes on a stylish fashion blogger at the Lucky FABB conference last week and was instantly smitten! These are a gorgeous statement making platform shoe in a fabulous combination of spring pastel hues, aren’t they sexy? These shoes will definitely get you noticed!

Sponsored Review: Neutrogena’s New Natural Skincare Line

Neutrogena is one of those brands that I have grown up with and it holds a special place in my heart because it was among the first anti-aging skincare lines that I ever tried. And let me tell you, it has come a long way baby! The brand has remained a constant and respected mass skincare brand for a long time and I have continually been impressed by how well this brand has kept up with innovation, technology and skincare trends. I am especially fond of their sunblock products and the light as air formulation of Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock SPF 45 is among my all time favorite go to products for full body SPF protection.

So given my affinity for this brand, I was delighted to be asked to review Neutrogena’s latest foray into the green beauty skincare category with Neutrogena Naturals

This is an exciting new eco friendly line of skincare products from Neutrogena that harnesses the power of naturally occurring bionutrients to deliver safe and effective results without harsh chemical sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes or phthalates. Bionutrients are highly concentrated chemical compounds found in nature that are essential for healthy-looking skin and they promote skin resilience and support replenishment and detoxification of the skin.

The Neutrogena Naturals line has seven better for you products and here are four of my favorites:

Beautiful Change Challenge #6: Making A Difference In Your Community

This is my last and final Beautiful Change Challenge and the topic centers around exploring ways to make lasting and beautiful changes within my own community, and quite frankly I found this Challenge the hardest one of all. It is much easier to focus on ourselves and our own selfish needs rather than putting our emphasis outward, and taking the time to notice the world around us and what we might be able to do to make it a better place for us to live.

So I sat and thought about it for a while, and I realized that one thing that really bothers me is the trash that I often see sprinkled throughout our community. The junk and paper that people mindlessly discard of without a care for how awful it looks or how it cheapens our environment. A dear friend of mine is so green and conscientious that whenever she is out and about and sees an out of place piece of trash, she takes a moment to pick it up and properly discard of it in the trash can. I have always admired this about her, her awareness of what is around her and her willingness to handle some gross stuff in order to beautify our planet. Most of us don’t take this kind of time to notice, let alone pick up trash and clean-up after others.

So I decided that my last and final Beautiful Change Challenge was going to emulate the actions of my dear altruistic friend: I am committing to make a conscious effort to pick up unwanted trash that crosses my path on an ongoing basis! So simple yet SO impactful. I am going to train myself to notice and beautify as much as I can, and I am hoping this will  motivate and inspire others to do the same.
