COVERGIRL recently launched their new Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation and they invited me to participate in the COVERGIRL 5 O’clock Challenge: They asked me to wear this foundation for a full eight hours during a typical day, take before and after pictures and report back on my experience with this product and share if Outlast 3-in-1 Foundation lived up to it’s promises. Not one to shy away from a challenge, especially a BEAUTY challenge, I jumped at the chance to put this new multi-purpose foundation to the test! First, I am going to tell you a little bit more about the unique features of this foundation and then I’m going to tell you all about my experience with this product and the final outcome.
What is COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation?
Outlast Stay Fabulous is an affordably priced ($9.99) multi-use makeup product that creates a smooth flawless look that lasts all day because it incorporates a primer, foundation and concealer all in one bottle. The Primer utilizes an advanced technology that holds the foundation in place yet still remains flexible so that it feels lightweight. The Foundation contains tiny particles that modify the skin’s surface by diffusing light and creating a soft matte finish. The Concealer contains small visual correctors that instantly conceal imperfections and absorb oil to create a matte finish. It can also be spot applied for added concealment of imperfections.

Last week, I introduced all of you to L’Oreal Paris Youth Code BB Cream Illuminator and this week I had a chance to try out this exciting new product and put it to the test. Here’s a recap of my experience and what I thought about this product:
When I went to the my local store to purchase L’Oreal’s BB Cream Illuminator, I found the packaging modern and easy to notice on the shelf. And I loved how the product benefits are simply and clearly called out on the package so you know exactly what this product is offering and don’t have to work too hard to find it. L’Oreal’s BB Cream Illuminator currently comes in two shades: Light and Medium and because I am in between two shades with my post summer golden hue, I opted to buy both and blend the two colors to get my perfect shade
Light Shade (Left) & Medium Shade (Right)
As you can probably see from my swatches above, the light is a bit light for my skin and the dark is a bit too dark, but the blend of the two was the perfect combination for my skin. I immediately loved the light sheer texture of this product and the hint of a fresh floral scent. Right when I put this product on my face, I noticed that it instantly blurred my flaws and gave me a lovely sheer coverage. It did a really good job of evening out my skin tone, yet still allowing my skin to show through, I’d call it a light to medium level of coverage. I loved the warm luminous glow it gave to my skin too.
I was also rather impressed with the skincare benefits of this mass product. Not only did it do a great job of immediately and noticeably changing the look of my skin, but it also offered appealing skin enhancing and protecting benefits too. It delivered a nice level of long lasting moisture with an SPF 15, the perfect level for my days out and about. The bigger surprise came after using this product for a week, I noticed that my skin was a bit smoother and healthier looking. And over time, these benefits are supposed to get even better and give your skin a more even tone and a more refined texture. And all this for under twenty bucks makes it even more appealing and impressive!
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with L’Oreal’s Youth Code BB Cream Illuminator because it delivered the benefits promised on the package (my skin looked really good!), it’s super affordable and most importantly to me is that it stands up as a noteworthy competitor among the BB Cream product landscape.
Youth Code BB Cream Illuminator instantly evens, illuminates, perfects, moisturizes, and protects skin. In one week, tone and texture are improved and skin is healthier looking.

You might have noticed that I haven’t been blogging as much lately, well that’s because I have been out of town and traveling way too much this summer. My crazy schedule has made it hard to keep up with regular posting and sharing all the great products that I have recently discovered, so I wanted to write a quick post before I leave for BlogHer ’12 and share some of the fab new product discoveries that I have been enjoying lately. Here’s a glimpse:
This is a fabulous and luxurious 2-in-1 product that offers sun protection with SPF 30 and Environmental Protection Factor with EPF® 95+. EPF is a broad spectrum environmental protection factor that protects against oxidative stress and free radicals with Idebenone Complex. So basically, this inspired product combats both the sun and premature aging at the same time and I LOVE the way it makes my skin feel. First, I use a pump of the EPF Serum to treat and smooth my skin and then a pump of the SPF to protect = anti-aging perfection!
I recently attended an event at the ARCONA Studio in Santa Monica and immediately fell in love with this two-in-one Brightening Gommage that deeply exfoliates your skin while visibly improving skin’s balance, tone and clarity. This potent exfoliator diminishes pigmentation and scaring and brightens with antioxidant-rich cranberry and blueberry extracts. I love how it instantly refreshes my skin and leaves it vibrant and more luminous.
Serge Lutens L’Eau Froide ($105)
This is an intoxicating unisex Oriental woody fragrance with notes of of sea water, musk, vetiver, mint, incense, pepper and ginger. This mint and ginger give it a refreshing and cool quality and citrusy top notes of incense merge beautifully with the pepper notes. Serge Lutens makes the most gorgeous, complex, memorable fragrances and L’Eau Froide has been one of my go-to scents most of this summer because it’s refreshing and a bit sultry at the same time.
I just love the concept of Stages of Beauty which has created age specific product lines to give your skin everything it needs to stay healthy and radiant at every stage of aging. I am in my mid-40′s which typically results in thinning skin, poor circulation/sensitivity and being more susceptible to age spots and the Elegance line addresses these problems. I really like this rejuvenating serum which effectively targets my 40 year old skin problems and it really hydrates and refreshes my complexion.
AVEENO Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo ($7.99)
AVEENO does it again with one of the first mass market dry shampoo products. This genius product refreshes your hair without water, removes excess oil and helps boost volume. The price point is FAB and I especially love using this dry shampoo with my hair extensions because it helps my blowout look fresh and clean and last for days.
