Wish me luck, I am heading to BlogHer this year as a newbie. BlogHer is the largest gathering of female bloggers in North America. It’s a conference where bloggers from all walks of life come together to meet, network and learn the latest and greatest in blogging and social media. Oh and it is a haven for brands to have access to some of the most authentic marketing mouth pieces out there, us social media mavens.
Tons of major brands participate in this mega event because they are vying for our attention. They want to reach us on a more personal level in order to entice us to take a closer look at their products and positioning, all in hopes that we will buzz about it to our followers. There are TONS of hosted parties and SWAG galore, I almost feel like a celebrity 🙂
Some of the participating brands include P&G, Walmart, Liberty Mutual, Hallmark, Microsoft, Yahoo, Kodak, Chevy, PepsiCo, 20 Century Fox, and McDonald’s to name a few. These brands have booths on the show floor and gifting suites, and my head is spinning with all the learning, networking, schmoozing and socializing options.
I am super excited to experience and absorb this social media nirvana and please stay tuned for my recap post next week. I promise to share lots of new and exciting trends and discoveries from BlogHer, Cosmoprof, and my other summertime adventures once I return.
