If you are a parent of a teenager, you can totally relate to the challenges that I face when it comes to motivating my tweenage son to be interested in cooking, cleaning and helping out around the house. Being a teenager is all about exerting your independence, so it is not at all surprising that my son doesn’t always respond favorably to doing household chores. After all, it’s hard to compete with his other interests such as hanging out with his friends, playing video games or chatting on social media.
However, I recently got invited to an advanced media screening of Despicable Me 3 and my son really enjoyed the movie and absolutely loved being among the first to see it. When we left the screening, we were given a goodie bag filled with fun Despicable Me 3 themed products which included Bounty with Despicable Me 3 print Paper Towels.
The limited-edition Despicable Me 3 prints feature the Minions and are designed to make clean-up quick and fun. And to my surprise, my typically aloof teenager actually took notice of them and told me he thought they were cool.
Since my son has an affinity for the Despicable Me movie franchise, enjoyed the new movie and especially because he took notice of these fun Bounty cleaning supplies, I jumped at the chance to enlist his help with prep and clean-up for our recent family taco night.
And honestly as simple as it sounds, he actually enjoyed helping out and cleaning up because the Minion adorned Bounty paper towels added an element of fun to a normally mundane task.
And of course because my son is a natural born comedian and was enjoying his chores, he was more than willing to pose for some playful photos featuring the new Bounty with Despicable Me 3 print Paper Towels.
And because the Despicable Me movies are all about playfulness and family, I think having these paper towels on hand made him to want to help out more than usual because they are infused with fun.
If you haven’t had a chance to see Despicable Me 3 yet, I definitely recommend it! Rated PG, it’s the perfect way to escape the summer heat and it has plenty of laughs for the kids and fabulous 80’s music and references for the grow-ups!
