Quick Picks: A Glimpse of Products I’m Loving Right Now

You might have noticed that I haven’t been blogging as much lately, well that’s because I have been out of town and traveling way too much this summer. My crazy schedule has made it hard to keep up with regular posting and sharing all the great products that I have recently discovered, so I wanted to write a quick post before I leave for BlogHer ’12 and share some of the fab new product discoveries that I have been enjoying lately. Here’s a glimpse:

Priori Radical Defense SPF 30 ($125)

This is a fabulous and luxurious 2-in-1 product that offers sun protection with SPF 30 and Environmental Protection Factor with EPF® 95+. EPF is a broad spectrum environmental protection factor that protects against oxidative stress and free radicals with Idebenone Complex. So basically, this inspired product combats both the sun and premature aging at the same time and I LOVE the way it makes my skin feel. First, I use a pump of the EPF Serum to treat and smooth my skin and then a pump of the SPF to protect = anti-aging perfection!

Arcona Brightening Gommage ($52)

I recently attended an event at the ARCONA Studio in Santa Monica and immediately fell in love with this two-in-one Brightening Gommage that deeply exfoliates your skin while visibly improving skin’s balance, tone and clarity. This potent exfoliator diminishes pigmentation and scaring and brightens with antioxidant-rich cranberry and blueberry extracts. I love how it instantly refreshes my skin and leaves it vibrant and more luminous.

Serge Lutens L’Eau Froide ($105)

This is an intoxicating unisex Oriental woody fragrance with notes of of sea water, musk, vetiver, mint, incense, pepper and ginger. This mint and ginger give it a refreshing and cool quality and citrusy top notes of incense merge beautifully with the pepper notes. Serge Lutens makes the most gorgeous, complex, memorable fragrances and L’Eau Froide has been one of my go-to scents most of this summer because it’s refreshing and a bit sultry at the same time.

Stages of Beauty ELEGANCE Multi-Peptide Serum ($74.99)

I just love the concept of Stages of Beauty which has created age specific product lines to give your skin everything it needs to stay healthy and radiant at every stage of aging. I am in my mid-40’s which typically results in thinning skin,  poor circulation/sensitivity and being more susceptible to age spots and the Elegance line addresses these problems. I really like this rejuvenating serum which effectively targets my 40 year old skin problems and it really hydrates and refreshes my complexion.

AVEENO Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo ($7.99)

AVEENO does it again with one of the first mass market dry shampoo products. This genius product refreshes your hair without water, removes excess oil and helps boost volume. The price point is FAB and I especially love using this dry shampoo with my hair extensions because it helps my blowout look fresh and clean and last for days.

Stila HD Beauty Balm ($38)

This is Stila”s contribution to the Beauty Balm category and I am impressed! It’s a luxurious beauty balm that glides onto skin and leaves a smooth, silky, even powdery finish. And the High-definition formula kicks it up a notch because it noticeably reduces pore size and takes the shine away. I like the medium level of coverage that conceals flaws but lets  your skin show through, the peptides that treat my skin and most importantly how gorgeous, smooth and even my skin looks with it on.

AVON Foot Works Beautiful Marine Salt Hydrating Balm ($5)

This is a refreshing, smoothing, regenerating foot balm that smells like a tropical vacation and totally revitalizes my dry feet. It contains sea salts to exfoliate (but it’s not grainy) and marine algae to hydrate my tootsies. My feet are instantly moist, soft, and supple and I love it! And the price and quality are also FAB! Here’s the best part: Right now it’s on sale for $3.99 right now, grab a tube or two, your feet will thank you!

Clarins Shaping Facial Lift ($70)

This is a wonderfully refreshing serum that instantly firms, lifts, and rejuvenates your face making it look brighter, tighter and more radiant. It contains a complex of powerful plant extracts that define facial contours, reduce puffiness, and refine by reducing trapped fat. I love how it smells like a European spa, how it refreshes and tones my skin in the morning, and over time I have noticed that it has made my skin look younger and firmer.

NYX The Curve ($15)

I discovered this brilliant new ergonomic eye liner at Cosmoprof North America last week and was instantly smitten! This innovative, ergonomic shape and grip zone provides just the right amount hold and control to make the liner application much easier and very precise. You have so much more control of your line with this smart design, why hasn’t anyone thought of it before now? Kudos to NYX!

Mama Mio WonderFull Balm ($26)

This all in one rescue balm that does it all! It treats dryness, burns, cuts, lips, cuticles and even eczema. It contains nine natural oils in a beeswax base that form a solid oil that melts on contact with your skin and provides rich, intense moisture. I keep a travel size in my toiletry kit and take it everywhere with me and I use it all the time. I adore the refreshing Mama Mio signature scent and I love using this multi-purpose balm on my lips, dry patches and parched feet = FAB!
