OK, OK I know you might be shocked to learn this, but this beauty maven does occasionally suffer from a breakout or two (I’m human after all :-)) Blame it on hormones, weather fluctuations, or a chocolate OD, I cannot stand the sight of a zit, and I try to resist picking, but sometimes its hard. Nonetheless, in my pursuit of flawless skin, I am always on the hunt for a super duper magical blemish annihilator, a product that you can apply at night and *poof* your blemish is gone in the AM. You’ll be happy to know that recently I have discovered a couple of products that really help put those unsightly blemishes to rest.
Blemish Potion by Skin Abstract is an all natural, paraben free topical solution for healing and drying skin breakouts. It contains sulfur, zinc, aloe vera, salicylic acid and camphor which all work collaboratively to quickly heal skin breakouts, without drying out the surrounding skin. Blemish Potion brilliantly comes in skin toned shades so it can be applied to the breakouts during the day and can easily be blended to match various skin tones.
I really love the this product for a couple reasons: First, IT WORKS!! I put it on a zit at night and wake up the next morning and it is either gone or significantly diminished, love that! Second, it comes in skin toned shades so that I can use it as both a cover-up and healer during the day when the blemish is really bad, two in one! I’ve used products like this before but this seems higher caliber and more effective. It’s ideal for those above the skin blemishes that you want to heal and dry up.
pHaze 35 Acne Gel by PCA Skin
This is a gentle and effective acne spot treatment gel that clears existing acne blemishes while reducing oil production, and the occurrence of future breakouts. It contains salicylic acid and azelaic acid, both ingredients that effective combat acne. I love this product because it instantly absorbs into the skin and you feel it working. I tend to use this product for those bigger, more swollen blemishes beneath the skins surface. I put it on at night and those big bumps are significantly less in the AM. This is more of a pro line of products but definitely worth checking out.
Addtional tip: Sometimes when my blemish is really bad (swollen and a whitehead), I use both of these products together and it works wonders. First, the PCA Acne Gel, let it absorb a couple of minutes, and then top it off with Blemish Potion. Blemish be gone, (or almost gone) in the morning!

Oh man, that is the perfect post for me to find today. I HATE my skin (and it hates me)! Thanks for the tips, I am definitely going to try those products! Happy Saturday Sharefest!

I have such a hard time resisting the urge to pick at pimples. I have never heard of Blemish Potion but my best friend educated me on pHaze and I LOVE it.

I have to pick at everything! I can’t help myself. I have to seriously stop myself from picking at things on my son. For some reason it is super pleasing to me.
