Rubbing Elbows with The Stars: A Recap of My Emmy Events

As many of you know the Primetime Emmy Awards were on September 18th (what did you think of host Jane Lynch BTW?) and the LA event scene was buzzing with a myriad of fun events and parties leading up to this big event. And your girl-in-the-know (me!) was thrilled to be on the guest list of some of the hottest Emmy parties in town, and here is recap and glimpse into some the fun I had 🙂

The 2nd Annual Endless Summer Primetime Emmy Suite was a FABULOUS event to honor the television industry’s Emmy Nominated actors, former Emmy winners, presenters, stylists and industry VIPS. This invitation-only event was co-hosted by Oliver Sweeney, presented by Vitabath and produced by Doris Bergman and Kathy Duliakas and featured an incredible array of fashion, body and skin care products, lingerie, footwear, jewelry, swimwear and more. I had such a fun time chatting with some of today’s hottest reality stars like Chelsea Hightower from DWTS  and Vienna & Kasey from Bachelor Pad, who were super nice and down to earth BTW.

This top notch event took place at the chic and yummy Gonpachi Of Beverly Hills restaurant were we nibbled on tasty morsels created by Chef Yasu Kusano, sipped refreshing beverages like Neuro Wellness Drinks, but the best part was discovering great new brands and getting gifted with a fabulous array of  high quality products. Some of my favorite new discoveries from this event were: Joya footwear, the world’s softest shoe that felt like a slipper when I put it on; the uber cute fashionable B Bag by LisaBerck;  the sexy dresses from Single by Galina Sobolev; the new Vitabath Fragrance Collection (loved the new Pomegranate & Blood Orange Body wash & the fabulous pick me up chair massage they gave me); the sexy swimwear by BECCA; the very inspired Bootights by Leg Up (a sock and tights all in one); luxury skin care by Stemulation; and the brilliant Cool Off Quick Chill Icy Cold Towelettes.

Essie Emmy Suite in Celebration of the 63rd Annual Emmy Awards was a fabulous insider VIP event to celebrate the Emmys and as well as the exclusive West Coast Preview of Essie’s Winter 2011 Collection. We were invited to a gorgeous private villa at the swanky Chateau Marmont for a fabulous evening of manicures, champagne and a little cocktail bling! Beauty and bubbly, count me in! I went absolutely crazy for Bobbing for Baubles nail polish (it’s a navy gray blue color-and not yet available yet) from the Essie’s Winter Collection, and they told me that this color was all the rage at the L.A.M.B show at NYFW, what do you think?

One of the highlights of this classy intimate party was meeting and schmoozing with stylist to the stars Phillip Bloch, he is an absolute doll and so much fun to hangout with! Here I am with the fab Amber of Beauty Junkies Unite & Phillip

Kate Somerville Clinic Emmy Event 2011  I was personally invited to the gorgeous and swanky Kate Somerville Clinic in West Hollywood (I just adore the white chic welcoming atmosphere of this spa) for some pampering and prep for the Emmy Awards. I was treated to a decadent Customized Kate Somerville Facial where my skin was analyzed, cleaned, exfoliated, massaged and treated to a fabulous Red LED Light Therapy treatment which illuminates your skin with red LED lights to increase collagen production and help protect the skin from free radical damage. My skin was luminous and glowing afterwards, no wonder Hollywood’s top stars go to Katie to prep their skin for big events (I saw Kate Walsh leaving as I was sipping champagne in the lobby :-)) I was also treated to a Smooth Out/Hair Freshening by Frederic Fekkai and a make-up touch-up by Jane Iredale. And I was delighted to leave with a goodie bag filled with some Kate’s FAB products that my esthetician recommended for my skin along with a certificate to come back for an Ultimate Kate facial = Happiness!

LA Confidential ‘Pretty for the Party’ Emmy Beauty Event was another fun influencer event to schmooze and prep for the Emmy’s.Various beauty brands offered primping and gifting. We were greeted at the door with a gorgeous glass of Rose Sparkling Wine from the recently opened Vampire Lounge & Tasting Room, it was yummy and I am excited to visit this inspired haunt. Next, I was treated to fabulous hair and make-up by Style Bar Beverly Hills, a great concept salon where you get your hair done, make-up, mani and pedi in one hour for $100! Dermstore was there promoting and gifting us with one month of their new BeautyFix monthly beauty subscription and the innovative Perfekt Beauty was at the event, gifting us with their new Body Perfection Gel and Brow Perfection Gel. Here I am with my friend Nicole who does marketing and promotions for Perfekt.

I also heard Joe Manganiello (swoon) was supposed to make a cameo at the LA Confidential rooftop party later that night, but (sigh) I never saw him. I also had to turn down a last minute invite to the Entertainment Weekly Emmy party and heard the star sightings were insane! All in all it was a fab week of parties, and I feel pretty lucky to be based in LA so that I have access to all of these great events. Until next time . . .
