Hello My Beauties! I know that many of you really enjoy my Over 40 round-ups, so I am going to try and post curated favs like this on a more regular basis. Today’s editorial collection consists of six fabulous anti-aging moisturizers that I am currently smitten with. I selected these products to share with you because all of these creams offer instant and noticeable results, long term benefits and transformation on more mature skin types. Without further adieu, here are my 6 Must Have Moisturizers for Over 40 Skin:
Instytutum Day Cream ($135) I recently got introduced to this luxe Swiss skincare brand that makes products that mimic the texture of your skin which makes it easier for them to penetrate and am really loving all of their gorgeous products. This day cream combines retinol, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and antioxidants with other proprietary anti-aging ingredients that smooth the texture of your skin and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This amazing day cream restores moisture, firms, plumps and increases the elasticity of your skin, and I love how it has alot of actives for a day cream plus my skin just drinks it up. Love it!
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer ($65) This daily moisturizer was inspired by Kate’s iconic intense exfoliating product, ExfoliKate. This potent new cream contains a duo of AHAs, glycolic and lactic acid, combined with pineapple, pumpkin, and papaya enzymes which all work synergistically together to instantly reduce the appearance of surface dullness and uneven skin texture. After using this exciting new cream just one time, I’ve noticed that my skin was softer, smoother and glowing.
Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Hydrating Cloud Cream ($80) Cloud creams are all the rage at the moment because they are lightweight and intensely hydrating, and Perricone’s airy, whipped gel cream is among the best of them. This cream contains high levels of hydrogen which re-energizes your skin and gives it a gorgeous boost of hydration without a thick, heavy feeling. I love how this innovative cream is super light, penetrates instantly and totally revitlaizes my skin after just one use. I have also noticed that my skin has become softer and smoother with continued use.
Erborian Bamboo Crème Frappée Skin Reviving Fresh Gel ($43) As many of you know, K-beauty is years ahead of the US on beauty innovation, and beauty junkies like me are always scouring the landscape for newness from Korea. I recently started trying products from K-beauty brand Erborian and I am pretty impressed. Their CC Cream with skin tone adapting pigments is legit, and this Skin Reviving Fresh Gel is a game changer! It is an innovative cooling whipped gel-cream made with a hydrating bamboo complex that absorbs quickly, plumps, hydrates and smooths your skin instantly. I love using this creme during the hot summer months because it’s refreshing and cooling, and I love how soft and smooth it makes my skin feel.
Sisley Paris Sisleÿa L’Integral Anti-Age Cream ($525) This uber luxe cream takes into account genetic, behavioral and environmental aging to specifically target wrinkles, firmness, radiance, density and skin hydration. It contains high tech state-of-the-art active ingredients that regenerate and restructure the skin at a cellular level. I know this cream is ridiculously expensive, but if you are looking for a multi-functional cream that does it all, this is it! After using this decadent cream for a month, my skin is noticeably firmer, more supple and radiant and it has definitely given my skin a swoon worthy glow.
The Better Skin Co Mirakle Cream ($34) Last but not least, is this all-in-one brilliant antioxidant rich recipe that originated in the Republic of Uzbekistan and is handcrafted in the USA. It contains a slew of top notch skincare ingredients like coconut oil, sea buckthorn, shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe, algae, peptides and hyaluronic acid. This cream truly does it all – reduces fine lines and wrinkles, increases collagen and elasticity, firms, tones and tightens skin, decreases dryness and increases hydration and diminishes hyper-pigmentation. I love how affordable this cream is and that it delivers the results of a much spendier product and it has become one of my skincare staples.
