I really enjoy celebrating and acknowledging Earth Day because it raises my consciousness and challenges me to take a closer look at my consumer habits and think about making greener and more meaningful choices. I love the idea that if each of us makes one small change or shift in our consumer behaviors in honor of Earth Day, those small individual choices can collectively result in having a significant impact on our world and our planet. So in line with that thinking, I have curated a pretty fab assortment of beautiful greener beauty products for you to consider adding to your mix this April. What I love most about these wipes is that they smell like a tropical vacay and they are perfect for dry skin types (like mine!) who are looking for moisture and hydration. I adore the Yes To brand because their initiatives are relevant and relatable, like their #JustOneChange social media campaign that’s kicking off tomorrow on Earth Day and runs throughout May. This just-released scrub from one of the original eco-friendly brands, gently removes dull skin cells and makes your skin look fresh and radiant. I love the fresh clean smell of this scrub, the fluffy gel texture which feels almost like a pro-quality microdermabrasion treatment and I especially love how it makes my skin super soft and smooth. FAB!
Glycelene – The Beauty Serum ($125) I am totally smitten with this locally made artisanal handcrafted skincare brand and I have raved about them before. My newest obsession from this eco-chic line is their hyaluronic acid packed anti-aging serum. Makes Scents Coco Mojito Sugar Scrub ($26) is an artisanal handcrafted body scrub made with organic cane juice, lime peel, peppermint leaves, and organic raw coconut which work together to gently exfoliate and soften your skin. This all-natural scrub also has lime essential oil, which acts as an astringent to tighten and firm your skin while the lime extract helps lighten hyperpigmentation. I would describe this scrub as a refreshing cocktail for your body, almost good enough to eat/drink (but don’t of course) and I love how smooth and silky my skin feels after using it.
