ICU Frame MontageIn honor of Earth Month, I’ve partnered with ICU Eyewear, an industry leader in reading glasses and well-known for their fun, bright, stylish and fashion forward glasses at affordable prices. Checkout four of their fab frames that I am wearing in the montage above: (clockwise) Retro Square (similar to what I’m wearing), Leatherette Cat Eye, Green Tortoise Temples and Confetti Cat Eye.

However, it is the brand’s sustainability efforts that made it an ideal fit for my Earth Month themed giveaway. ICU has made impressive strides towards sustainability by implementing a greener production process, reducing the company’s carbon footprint and increasing the amount of eco-friendly materials used in their glasses.

The brand recently obtained a CarbonNeutral® certification and as a result of this, they are producing more products that are made of renewable and recyclable materials. However, ICU has been using recyclable and renewable materials for more than 10 years, with frames made out of renewable materials like bamboo and bio-based plastic as well as using excess materials from the manufacturing process that would typically go into a landfill. Go Green!

In addition to all these green efforts, I was most impressed by ICU’s ECO Eyewear line which are made out of 100% recycled materials. Not only are these frames green, but they are just as fabulous, chic and fashionable as other glasses. Take a look at some of my favs:

ICU Eco Reading Glasses: Classic Colorblock in Black & Turquoise ($23.95) These fab frames are made out of recycled plastic and are a wonderful expression of the colorblocking trend. See what I mean by Eco Chic?

Large Leatherette Red Cat Eye with Crystal Temples ($21.95) These sunnies are not part of ICU’s Eco line, but they are super fun, sparkly and totally my style (I’m wearing them in the photo montage above.) I wanted to post them as an example of the wide variety of stylish eyewear choices you will find on ICU’s website.
