RED HOT Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Love is in the air, can you feel it? Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays because it centers around love, romance, red, passion, chocolate and indulgence, what’s not to love? In honor of this romantic holiday, I always enjoy doing a round-up of some of my favorite recent discoveries that are sure to make you smile and swoon. I hope you enjoy all the special, hand picked selections I have listed below. Quite honestly, this list is so good that I think you have all the essential components for a wonderful, romantic, yummy and inspired Valentine’s Day, so enjoy it you Sexy Thing!

Cupcake Vineyards 2009 Red Velvet

This oenophile is all about juicy, creamy, spicy, berry tasting red wine blends and this fabulous new release from Cupcake Vineyards has all the flavora that I love! Red Velvet is a rich, smooth, creamy blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cab with a splash of Petite Syrah and it’s reminiscent of a blackberry chocolate cupcake with a mocha coulis. It has a yummy nose of chocolate, deep rich blackberries, red fruits and a creamy mocha finish. This wine is affordable, totally delicious, and has just the right amount of complexity for me. It is the perfect Valentine’s Day wine, especially if you pair it with a dark chocolate fondue-FABULOUS!

Gotta Have S’more S’muffins Valentine’s Edition

I am a long time fan of Gotta Have S’more S’muffins, a mini gourmet s’more like cupcake (without the cake) with a graham cracker base, roasted marshmallow on the top, and variety of delicious fillings buried in the middle-and YES it’s as divine and addictive as it sounds! Can it get any better?? YES!! For Valentine’s Day, the S’muffins are even more decadent because they are hand dipped in dark or white chocolate, filled with caramel, peanut butter/dark chocolate or milk chocolate and then topped with splashes of dark or red chocolate or a red candy heart-YUM! They are adorably festive, insanely tasty and come beautifully wrapped with a personal message from you to your sweetheart.

MOR Cosmetics Black Currant Iris Essentials CandleI am a huge fan of the gorgeous products from MOR Cosmetics. The quality, creativity, and packaging of these products continues to dazzle me. My most recent favorite are the Essentials Collection candles that come in intoxicating scents like Black Currant Iris, Neroli Clementine and Basil & Grape. These fabulous candles are packaged in beautifully colored tins, made out of soy wax and are bursting with amazing fragrances to entice your senses. I am personally loving the smell of rich black currant paired with soft iris, a seductive rose and warm woods. I feel a sensual and romantic night coming on!

Fresh Sugar Lip Polish

I don’t know about you, but my lips have been super dry and chapped this winter and I am really digging the gentle but thorough exfoliation that I am getting from this yummy lip scrub. Fresh’s Lip Polish is enriched with real brown sugar crystals, meadowfoam seed oil, jojoba seed oil, grapeseed oil and shea butter and it smells/tastes like a lemon sugar cookie. It leaves behind the perfect amount of moisture and has helped smooth my flaky lips. Almost ready for some smooching!

After I remove all that pesky dry skin off my lips, I am always looking for a great lip healing treatment that smoothes, hydrates, and puts my lips back together and honestly that has not been an easy task this winter. . . until now. I have fallen in love with CK Euphoria! IMO it’s the perfect combination of sweet, sexy, smoky, fruity scents that I love and it makes the perfect date night fragrance. Euphoria is an addictive oriental fragrance that contrasts exotic fruits, seductive florals and a rich creamy quality and it contains the notes of black violet, pomegranate, black orchid, mahogany wood, persimmon, and lotus blossom. It’s complex, sultry, moody, it lasts and I love the sexy dry down. Mmmmmm. . . . good!

NEST Fragrances  Wasabi Pear Reed Diffuser 

So you have wine, chocolate, and candles, now it’s time to set the mood in your room with a fabulous aroma. I love the understated elegance of reed diffusers. I really like the way they look and how they subtly deliver fragrance into a room. My current love is the Wasabi Pear Reed Diffuser by Nest Fragrances. I am a loyal fan of the inspired hand crafted bath and body products created by the Scentual Mixtress of KleanSpa, a fabulous SoCal woman owned business. I love that she decided to pay homage to the men in our lives this Valentine’s Day by creating her first ever scentual offering geared towards men with a woody slant (no pun intended). The Mini MAN-ity kit is sleeky packaged in an aluminum paint-type can and contains a sampling of products (MANwash, scrub. scent & butter) with this new musk/wood scent.
