I absolutely adore all the rich jewel tones and spicy aromas of Fall. Why you ask? Because they remind me of my childhood, family time, mom baking, pumpkin craving and spicy smells throughout the house. It conjures up joy filled emotional visuals and memories of the holidays and that’s why I write a ‘Scents of the Season’ blog post every year. I get so much pleasure out of curating this post and taking my time to discover yummy beauty treats to include and share with you. So without further ado, I am pleased to share this year’s crop of seasonal yumminess that made the cut. Hope you enjoy my finds and discover something deelish to add to your home or gift giving roster this holiday season.
L’Occitane Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Eau de Toilette ($62) Leave it to a chef to create my new must-have scent of the season! French pastry chef Pierre Hermé created this gorgeous sweet fresh and spicy scent for L’Occitane featuring the aroma of tart and bright Grapefruit combined with the green and crisp aromas of Rhubarb. He created this fragrance to conjure up his memories of the Mediterranean and the island of Corsica. This fragrance is clean, crisp, fresh and complex at the same time, it makes you feel vibrant and alive. LOVE!
MyChelle Dermaceuticals Creamy Pumpkin Cleanser ($16) After rubbing just one pump full onto my face, I was smitten with MyChelle’s yummy pumpkin cleanser. Not only does it smell like a spicy fragrant gourmet pumpkin pie, it’s also loaded with vitamins and exfoliating enzymes that work together to wash away impurities and toxins while at the same time restoring your skin’s moisture balance. This aromatic cleanser contains pumpkin and honey to hydrate, refine and smooth your complexion and mineral and antioxidant-rich Blue Green Algae to fortify and soothe your skin. I love how hydrating and soothing it feels on my dry skin and that it smells very much like one of the best homemade spicy pumpkin pies that I ever ate.
mark. Crazy For Cranberry Body Butter ($12) This limited edition whipped body butter is a sweet refreshing blend of sweet cranberry, fruity rose and creamy vanilla bean. This butter is made with aloe, cocoa and shea butters, coconut oil and viatmin E to nourish and hydrate your skin during the drying winter months. I love the fluffy texture that my skin immediately drinks up, but its the sweet fresh cranberry scent that lasts for hours that I’m crazy about!
Lather Salted Chocolate Exfoliating Creme ($21) When a product looks and smells so good, you almost want to take a bite, well that’s a beauty product winner in my book. This creamy body scrub contains epsom salt, sea salt and cocoa shell powder to gently exfoliate and smooth your skin; along with shea butter to moisturize and restore softness to your dry skin. But hands down, the best thing about this emollient body scrub is the yummy salted chocolate fragrance that feels totally indulgent without the calories. Nom Nom!
Jan Marini Sugar Plum Holiday Exfoliator ($88) Every year I covet Jan Marini’s seasonal limited edition Holiday Exfoliator and this year’s edition of Sugar Plum, might be the best yet! This swoon-worthy transformative facial exfoliator immediately makes your skin radiant and glowing. It contains powerful antioxidants as well as three active exfoliating ingredients (gentle microscopic particles, enzymes and glycolic acid) to polish and smooth your skin without harsh abrasives. Love the festive and fresh sweet plum scent and the noticeable glow after I use it. This is an annual must-have for me!
Sara Happ Midnight Blueberry Holiday Gift Set ($40) If you have never tried a Sara Happ Lip Scrub, I can’t recommend them highly enough. I am one of her original fans and feel that no other lip scrubs have ever come close to her texture, efficacy and scents/flavors. Her scrubs gently remove dry flaky skin from your lips with a perfect combo of sugar and oils that leave your lips yummy, moist and smooth. I adore the sweet and a little bit tart Midnight Blueberry Flavor. Top your newly smooth lips with her cult favorite Lip Slip for a beautiful nude slightly shimmery gloss that makes your lips pretty and kissable. This yummy duo is perfect for the winter season or as a sweet little holiday gift for your bestie.
Luz De La Riva LULU Dulce De Leche Organic Kissable Massage Oil ($28) I was recently introduced to this lovely artisanal intimate beauty line created by a delightful mother and daughter team who designed this line to embrace the beauty, femininity and sensuality in every woman. Their Lulu Edible Massage Oil is a delectable elixir formulated with natural pheromones to stimulate the sexy side in all of us. And the Dulce de Leche flavor (it also comes in Forbidden Fruit and Cacao Picante) is yummy warm and creamy, and it reminds me of creme brulee or the perfect handcrafted caramel. I also adore the artistic illustrations of women on the packages and bottles. So special!
