5 Fashionable Accessories to Transition Your Look from Summer to Fall

As summer slowly drifts off into the sunset, it’s time to start thinking about fall fashions, specifically pieces that can help you bridge the gap from the warmth and carefree days of summer to heavier more substantial accessories and looks that capture the mood of fall. Following are five items that I recently discovered that will definitely be in my fashion arsenal this season. What are your fall must have accessories and fashion staples?

Project Gravitas .01 Josephine Cape Blazer ($248) Without a doubt, my absolute favorite summer to fall fashion must-have is the Project Gravitas Cape Blazer, I’m obsessed with it! This chic beautifully tailored cape blazer is super flattering, it looks like it was plucked off the NYFW runway, it feels spectacular on and it has the perfect flowy design to transition you from summer to fall. I love that this company is all about helping women tap into their confidence aka their ‘gravitas’ and empowering them to own their moment! Additional things that I love about this company is that it is owned by an entrepreneurial woman, all the clothes are made in NYC, they have built in shapewear (woot!) and that each month they feature a Woman of Gravitas and they donate a percentage of their sales to a charity of her choosing.

Amrita Singh Joanna Necklace in Gold/Gunmetal ($100) How gorgeous is this hip yet edgy statement making necklace?! I really like the gold/gunmetal sparkly combo and the gold chain fringe detail, and think that the contrasting light and dark colors along with the substance of it make it the perfect accessory to segue your look into fall. I also love that this is another New York City based company owned by a woman (Amrita) who has become known for blending old and new world Indian designs into her fashion-forward jewelry pieces. LOVE!

I love that it looks like a chic evening clutch but hidden inside are all your makeup must haves. It’s the perfect hybrid of fashion meets function, and a great way to take your look from day to night or from summer to fall.

OluKai Kaula Lio Wedge Sandals in Black ($100) I don’t know about you, but I have lived in my flip flops all summer long and I am super sad to see them go, but when I saw this black leather wedge sandal, I knew that I had found my perfect summer to fall transitional shoe. This shoe is beautifully made, comes in a variety of dark fall feeling colors, offers nice support and I just love the whimsical stitched design detail on the footbed.
