Bucket List Wish Come True: Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Times Square

I know how blessed and lucky I am to get so many perks as a blogger, however being invited to a VIP Party in the heart of Times Square on New Year’s Eve wins the prize for the best perk ever! COVERGIRL + Cosmopolitan invited me and my boys to attend their fabulous party on NYE at the Hard Rock Hotel, right next to the world famous ball drop location. OMG, I almost fainted when I received this invite because we were wavering about a taking a holiday trip to NY to see all of our east coast family, and as you can imagine this once in a lifetime invitation sealed the deal!

To make the evening even more special, CG sent me a bag of their latest makeup products to get glam for the evening

And as a special bonus, they sent me in-room hair and makeup services from Glamsquad! I was super impressed with Glamsquad, a relatively new app that allows you to seemlessly book affordable high quality hair and makeup services in the comfort of your own home. The hairstylist and makeup artists that came to me in NYC were topnotch, super talented and very professional

And for a little over a hundred bucks, in about an hour, I looked NYE Glam and ready to party

I LOVED my retro glam look which was created using these new COVERGIRL products: On my lips we used Coloricious Lipstick in Seduce Scarlet topped with an accent of Coloricious Lip Lava Lipgloss in Live Love Lava and my retro glam slightly smokey winged eyeliner look was created with CG’s fab new must-have Eye Shadow Quad in Notice Me Nudes

Finish off this gorgeous look with a fab bodycon studded sparkly mini dress and peep toe heels (pay no attention to the twenty degree temps & don’t wear stockings) and you end up looking like this

I was pretty stoked to be this close to THE BALL – OMG!

But I was equally just as happy to be warm and toasty inside sipping on Moët & Chandon Imperial Champagne all night

And posing for fun and festive pictures in front of this fab champagne tower

Or snapping silly pics in front of the Step & Repeat with my fab dates for the night, my little man

However, the highlight of the night by far, was braving the subzero temps with my fam to soak up the festivities and fabulous energy of Times Square on New Year’s Eve 2014!!! Rumor has it that many of my friends watching the NYE festivities on TV at home, saw this close-up of me and my family on ABC that night (our DVR glitched so I never saw it 🙁 )

I will never forget the amazing countdown to midnight and the NYC sky filled with confetti

Nor the cacophony of cheers and happy screams throughout the crowd

And the pièce de résistance: Kissing my man at midnight in Times Square!! Now that’s a pretty spectacular way to ring in a fabulous New Year!
