OK, OK I admit it, I am a totally a last minute, fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl, especially when it comes to sending out holiday cards. Many years, I am racing to get the cards done in time to reach everyone before the holidays are over. So I was thrilled to have the opportunity to checkout and review Shutterfly’s Latest Holiday Card Designs and share my favorite picks for this Holiday Season. Since it’s only October, I am hoping that this jump start ensures my cards get sent on time!
I was pleasantly surprised by the vast array of fabulous holiday card designs offered by Shutterfly. Oftentimes, I will only find one or two cards that I like, but honestly Shutterfly had many great cards that grabbed my attention. At my first glance of all the holiday cards on the website, I noticed lots of colors, modern and defined graphics and a wide assortment of card orientations and sizes to meet almost anyones preferences. I was especially excited about Shutterfly’s wonderful selection of Hanukkah Cards, because usually the Jewish themed cards are blue, boring, uninspired and have limited options. However, I am happy to share that they had many Hanukkah Cards that met with finicky design tastes.
Here is a glimpse of a few of the Shutterfly 2010 Holiday Cards that really caught my eye:
Eight Bright Nights Hanukkah Card I LOVE LOVE this modern, hip, clean-lined Hanukkah card design. It has an attention grabbing graphic design, it showcases the picture and I liked it so much that it is probably going to be my holiday card this year. I love the clever way Happy Hanukkah makes up the design of the menorah. This is not your Bubbie’s boring, old fashioned Jewish Star card–this is a fresh, up-to-date inspiration.
Mod Snowflakes Christmas Card I really like these black Holiday cards (like the card at the the top of this post) with colorful graphics against a dark background because they are bold, eye catching and unexpected. And I love how the color contrast highlights the picture. This is another modern and clean design (do you see a pattern here?) that definitely would standout among your Holiday Card collection.
Kaleidoscope Stars Christmas Card So I obviously tend to prefer simpler, cleaner, single photo cards because you can see all the detail of one great picture. I just adore this brown, red and green combination of colors which feel contemporary, chic and a bit whimsical at the same time. My eye also really liked how the kaleidoscope stars bleed onto the picture, it makes it feel higher quality to me. This would definitely pop on your holiday mantel IMO.
