I feel like a giddy school girl because I’m going to the Blogger Prom tonight and “I’m So Excited, I Just Can’t Hide It!” Everyone whose anyone in LA social media will be there (or be square-can’t help myself!) Anyhoo, this is a fabulous sponsored themed event with schmoozing, dancing, eating, drinking and being merry and the theme for this fab event is Hollywood Glamour-totally up my alley. So we have to get all decked out in our snazziest silver screen attire and channel our inner Marilyn Monroe, and being a curvy girl I am so all over that!

My date (Melanie from Travels With Two) and I, will be getting all glammed up before the event by the fabulous make-up artists at the Dolce & Gabbana Temple at Saks in Beverly Hills (Paula Cantu is da’bomb!!) and then we will be heading over to Anush Hair Design for some vintage Hollywood hairstyles ala Veronica Lake or Audrey Hepburn. I will definitely post pictures of us, stay tuned! A special thanks to Spa Week Daily for hooking me up with the adorable Anush!

So in honor of my socialite status and being a girl-about-town (going to proms and such), I thought it would be super fun to do a giveaway to help you celebrate right along with me, so I am giving away a fabulous Lolita Social Butterfly Hand Painted Wine Glass  (valued at $24) to ONE LUCKY winner.

I absolutely LOVE Lolita Glassware, the super fun, girly hand painted collectible glasses with a recipe painted on the bottom-which BTW were created after a fun Girl’s Night Out filled with laughter and drinking, love that! And recently, I have been really enjoying my Lolita Queen Wine Glass which makes me smile every time I use it. Every girl needs to feel like royalty, right?

I didn’t go to my prom. Our class teacher got drunk with the students. They decided to paint the year of our graduation around. They painted it everywhere. Next day the sheriff came to school and everyone wound up getting a year’s probation. Our teacher lost her job but she came back to our graduation.

  2. I had a crush on a boy in HS for ALL FOUR YEARS!!!! Finally he asked me out to go to the senior prom. I was thrilled! Thanks.

My favorite girls night out has been way to long ago! It was 2 years ago and me and my 6 closest friends all got together in in mini van and spent the whole evening riding around to all our old favorite spots, singing at the top of our lungs and laughing like we were 16 again. It was great and we took lots of hilarious pictures to remember the night.

I was grounded from both my Jr. and Sr. Prom, so no Prom memories for me. I would love to do something like the Blogger Prom and get to do Prom over again. I love the Lolita glasses too!

When we have a girls night out we like to go to margaritas for dinner and drinks, and depending on what we feel like doing, we go see a movie or some kidless shopping or out to drink just a lil more..

Favorite Prom was Senior year. I’d lost a lot of weight (4 hard years of field hockey to do so) and had a GREAT tight red dress. Really it was a crappy night in all but the dress and finally being able to fit into something like that. Ahhh. I loved that dress LOL

And my favorite girls night out story is the time we got a little tipsy and bold and found our way onto the grounds at Graceland (yes, THAT Graceland!) and got kicked out – we were lucky they didn’t call the police!!

Favorite Girls Night out is to this place called Mary’s Market where we sit for hours with a glass of wine, great food and even better brownies to rehash our lives

Favorite Girl’s night out: hmmm, me and my girlfriend live in New Jersey and we had to commute to NYC for an alumni party for our college. We had several train mishaps in our beautiful dresses and met a lot of interesting people while commuting. We went to a moderately-conservative Catholic college, so it was a shocker for all my conservative friends to see me get (by accident) tipsy… so tipsy, that our student-government secretary tried to take my drink a way from me. My sister lived in Manhattan and I hadn’t seen her in a month. I was already tipsy with my girlfriend and the secretary and I started crying that I couldn’t find the letter that my mom wanted me to give to my sister. I kept saying “I have to give her her court papers, she has to go to court!” (that’s what my mom told me). The secretary (who goes to law school) said ” Wait, you’re gonna serve your sister, court papers, in a fancy dress in a bar, tipsy. This I have to see!” When my sister got there she was none to pleased when she got her papers. We drank some more, and then one of my fellow alumni came up who was friends with my girlfriend. He had since become a CEO of his own company. (I’m really not making this night up). My sister was shocked we were hanging out with a CEO in our graduating class, and the four of us (the secretary had since left) wandered to Penn Station so we could catch a train home (after some late-night shopping). My sister’s bff who I hadn’t seen in six months who also lived in Manhattan showed up with her boyfriend. She chatted up the CEO and said I had really grown up since the last time I saw her. I missed her. My bff and I caught the train home and watched the city lights dim as we heady back to our little country town (the very last stop) in New Jersey. We got back to her house at 1AM so I could sleep over and we both crashed… not after taking crazy facebook pictures.

  12. Email subscriber. Like you on facebook. Have a great night out! My memories of prom: I remember using my sister’s car, meeting parents, posing for pictures and then it got weird. Thanks for the chance.

My most fun time on a girls night out was when i met my husband and the thing was i was overly tippy and my friends bet me i wouldn’t ask some strange man out. I’m not the type to do that, I’m more of a wall flower.
