Olay Giveaway

Temperatures are dropping, daylight savings is just around the corner, so it’s safe to say that winter is on it’s way. With the arrival of winter comes colder weather and drier skin, which makes it just about the right time to start thinking about switching up your skincare regimen. Most of us tend to need more hydrating and moisturizing skincare products during the winter months, so it’s rather timely that Olay has recently launched two new products in their Regenerist Luminous line at Walgreens that just might be the perfect addition to prepare your skin for winter. Let me tell you more about them:

Olay Regenerist Luminous Facial Oil ($25.99) is a lightweight non-greasy facial oil formulated with coconut, apricot kernel, grape seed extract, sunflower, evening primrose, sesame, jojoba, babassu, and mimosa oils. This addictive face oil absorbs instantly, makes your skin supple and gives it a gorgeous luminous glow. I am really smitten with this drugstore facial oil because it smells like a fresh peeled tangerine, it’s super light (actually more of a dry oil) and it makes my skin radiant.

While we are on the subject of oils, I wanted to clear up a few misconceptions about using oils on your face:

MYTH: Oil causes breakouts
FACT: Grape seed oil has a high concentration of linoleic acid, which helps fight acne while retaining moisture for soft, supple skin

MYTH: Oil clogs pores
FACT: Unlike some synthetic oils, natural oils like apricot kernel are less likely to clog pores while helping to restore moisture

MYTH: Oil makes skin greasy and shiny
FACT: When using the right amount—just a few drops—natural oils absorb instantly, giving your skin a sheer glow rather than a shine.

MYTH: Oil makes skin oily
FACT: Oil balances oil. Over-cleansing can cause your body to overcompensate, producing more oil than necessary. Natural oils can help replenish and balance moisture and keep pores clear.

Now back to the Olay Regenerist Luminous discussion . . .

Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream ($25.99) is a very hydrating rejuvenating and brightening cream that penetrates deep into the skin’s surface and makes it glow. I love the luxurious texture of this cream, how it makes my skin soft and supple and over time it has noticeably lightened my dark spots.

If the Olay Luminous products sound up your alley, then you’ll want to take advantage of this Limited Time Regenerist Luminous Promotional Offer at Walgreens: From October 26th-November 2nd, Walgreens is featuring the Olay Luminous Moisturizer and the Dark Circle Correcting Hydraswirl Eye Cream on sale for $23.99.
