If you were a fan of ‘Pretty Woman’ in the 90’s, the new musical brings your favorite iconic moments to life with a catchy musical score
I’m so happy to be back seeing live theater in person, especially when one of your teenage favorite movies from the 90’s gets transformed into a theatrical musical starring one of your all time favorite Broadway actors, you know you are in for a TREAT!
I recently attended the opening night of Pretty Woman: The Musical at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. This fun, uplifting and entertaining new musical brings to life one of the most iconic love stories of our time! This fun new production is brought to you by Paula Wagner and it features an entertaining and catchy original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance based on the book by the movie’s legendary director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J. F. Lawton.
Not only does this musical deliver all of the iconic lines and classic moments from the movie thirty years later, for me the absolute best part of the show was seeing the uber talented Broadway superstar and Tony Award nominated Adam Pascal (who played the original Roger in Rent) portray billionaire Edward Lewis and slay us with his incredible voice that is one of best I have ever heard on a stage! While Adam was by far the standout for me, I enjoyed seeing newcomer Olivia Valli (granddaughter of Frankie Valli) portray the charming and charismatic Vivian Ward.
If you were a fan of the original movie and want to laugh, smile and be entertained, I highly recommend getting tickets to Pretty Woman: The Musical at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood before it closes on July 3, 2022. Or you can see it at the Segerstrom Center For The Arts in Costa Mesa from July 5-17th, 2022. Get your tickets HERE
