Full Review of the New Rodan and Fields Redefine Anti-Aging Regimen

I’m excited to tell you about Rodan + Fields new and improved REDEFINE Regimen which has multiple formulas for AM/PM to choose from.

Last month, I told you all about Rodan + Fields Multi-Med Therapy Approach and highlighted what differentiates this line from other skincare brands and in this post, I am excited to be one of the first to tell you about Rodan + Fields New & Improved REDEFINE Regimen for the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness. Based on research and feedback from their customers, Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields saw gaps and opportunities within their cult favorite REDEFINE Collection so they decided to revitalize these products and also create a few new products to round out the line.

As a huge fan of the brand, I know that so many of their products work. I’ve loved the lash serum so I knew these updates would probably also be a hit.

What is the Redefine Regimen

Here are two of the major differences about the new REDEFINE anti-aging skin routine:

How to Use the Regimen

STEP 1: CLEANSE

• IMPROVED REDEFINE Daily Clay Cleanser is a reformulated 2-in-1 cleanser and mask that gently exfoliates, smooths and removes daily impurities like dirt, oil and makeup and I am OBSESSED with it! I love the fresh scent and the gritty texture that smooths, purifies and cleans your skin all at the same time. Personally, I prefer using it on dry skin as a mask because it feels more like a pampering and rejuvenating spa treatment and it totally revitalizes and refreshes my skin every time I use it.

• NEW REDEFINE Daily Foaming Cleanser is a hydrating creamy foaming cleanser that lathers nicely, removes dirt and impurities and it leaves your skin feeling soft and supple. Although this formula contains alpha hydroxy acids to gently exfoliate and smooth your skin, it feels much gentler than the Clay Cleanser and I think it would work better for more sensitive skin types.

STEP 2: TONE

• ENTIRELY REFORMULATED REDEFINE Pore Refining Toner is a skin softening toner that minimizes the appearance of pores, exfoliates your skin and facilitates natural cell turnover. This highly active solution preps your skin and allows for better and more even absorption of the moisturizer that follows so that you get the maximum benefits from the formula. I really like how this toner freshens my skin and preps it for the next step.

STEP 3: PROTECT & MOISTURIZE

•  Morning/AM Moisturizer with SPF
  • IMPROVED REDEFINE Triple Defense Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is a medium-weight moisturizing day cream and sunscreen that nourishes your skin while improving the appearance of fine lines, deep wrinkles and it also firms while it protects against harmful UV rays. This cream-based SPF also contains a proprietary antioxidant to protect against daily environmental aggressors as well as nourishing peptides to smooth and firm your skin.
  • NEW REDEFINE Triple Defense Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is a lightweight moisturizing lotion and sunscreen that nourishes your skin while improving the appearance of fine lines, deep wrinkles and firms while it protects against harmful UV rays. It also contains the same antioxidants and peptides as the cream, however this is a much more sheer lighter formula than the cream and it absorbs instantly into your skin. Personally, I prefer this lightweight formula for daytime use because it completely disappears into your skin and it feels great under makeup.

• Nighttime/PM Moisturizer
  • ENTIRELY REFORMULATED REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Cream is a rich, deep moisturizing night cream that improves the look of fine lines and deep wrinkles, plus it noticeably lifts, sculpts and defines your facial contours giving you younger-looking skin. It contains peptides, retinoids and niacinamide which are all powerhouse active anti-aging ingredients that revitalize your skin. Because I have dry skin, I prefer this richer formula at night.
  • NEW REDEFINE Overnight Reparative Lotion is a potent nighttime lotion that improves the look of fine lines and deep wrinkles, plus it visibly lifts, sculpts and defines to improve facial contours for younger-looking skin. It also contains the same powerhouse actives as the cream, but it is just a lighter weight formula that absorbs more quickly into your skin. It is formulated with Retinal-MD Technology, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, so skin looks healthier and younger. Retinal is a form of Vitamin A that’s more potent than Retinol. This formula might be better for regular to oily skin types.
