I’m just a little bit obsessed with all things RED these days, and with Valentine’s Day just a couple days away this passion seems to have become laser focused on red lippies. I can’t seem to get enough of red lipsticks and glosses right now and I find myself either buying new red lippies to add to my burgeoning collection or requesting product samples. However, not just any red lip product will do, it has to be a flattering shade for my light/medium skintone, come in a beautiful package or be the right price. Following is my current collection of red lippies that are gracing my lips these days. MWAH ~ SWAK ~ KISSY KISSY
Lip Addiction in Hollywood ($17) This is a lux, full-coverage high-shine lip glaze that provides opulent color while nourishing your lips with vitamins and plumping them with peptides. Hollywood is a perfectly balanced shade of red with just the right amount of warmth & vibrancy.
BeautyFull Lips Lipsticks in Sinful & Femme Fatal ($18) This is rich, creamy hydrating lip color infused with vitamin E, shea butter, jojoba oil and peptides that stimulates collagen and makes your lips more voluptuous. Sinful is a warm softer red lippie, while Femme Fatale is a more vibrant blue based red.
Lip Lacquer in Maraschino Cherry ($20) This moist and smooth vanilla flavored lipgloss contains lip loving ingredients like vitamins, shea butter, grape seed oil, jojoba oil and mango seed butter which all beautifully moisturize and protect your lips. This cherry red gloss has a hint of shimmer and gives your lips that flushed just bitten look.
Cream Lipstick in Venetian Red ($20) This lipstick formula is creamy and velvety smooth because of it’s yummy hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid filling spheres, vitamin E, shea butter and jojoba oil. Not only is it incredibly nourishing, but this shade of red is PERFECTION! It’s a warm slightly rusty red and it’s incredibly flattering on most skintones. While I LOVE all the lippies in this review, this is the one I can’t stop RAVING about!
Intense Lipgloss in Touch ($24) This new rich red gloss (part of the I’m the One Valentine’s Day Collection) is infused with fine shimmer particles that add depth and fullness to your lips. Touch is a shimmery shade of red with a hint of cranberry making it a perfect Fall/Winter color.
Lipstick in Maneater ($26) If the name alone doesn’t grab your attention, then this gorgeous cherry matte red lippie will do the trick. It’s a classic old Hollywood red and I adore the chic rounded square package, it’s fresh and modern.
Lip Radiance in UnStoppable & With My Heels On ($24) I am a big fan of Melanie Mills’ gorgeous Gleam Body Radiance products that give-you-the-perfect-hint-of-a-sexy-warm-glow and her Radiance Glosses do not disappoint. These beautiful glosses are made with a yummy blend of ingredients including vitamin E, jojoba oil and aloe vera and have a great sophisticated color payoff. Unstoppable is a flattering bright red gloss and With My Heels On is a warmer red with a hint of brown making it the perfect red gloss to wear during the daytime.
City Chic Lipstick in Lady in Red ($3.99) I just discovered City Color at the ISSE beauty show and instantly fell in love with their new creamy, hydrating lipsticks and especially with this stunning true red color. The formula is super moisturizing with great color payoff and a beautiful shine, but the best part is the $3.99 price tag! They are a STEAL at this price and their quality rivals that of other more spendy lippies.
Juicy Lips in Bright Red ($2.99) I couldn’t resist this adorable lip shaped compact with a yummy pan of sweet shimmery balm-like gloss inside for my Valentine’s Day lip round-up. For under three bucks, you can give these cuties to your closest girlfriends as a sweet Valentine’s Day gesture, LOVE!
Luscious Lip Stain in Red Velvet ($26) This dynamic duo pairs a matte lipgloss/stain with shiny clear gloss so that you can choose between a matte or shiny finish, depending on your mood. Love this blood stained red, but the best part is that this stain-gloss has real staying power and lasts for hours.
Click Click Lipstick in Red Velvet ($24) I adore this unique modern ‘click’ lipstick package, so fun! And the red is soft warm and flattering and the texture is sheer and smooth giving your lips the perfect lightweight coverage.
