This gorgeous sleek silver Acura ILX 2013 arrived today, don’t we look good together 🙂
Guess what Rave Fans? Acura is loaning me their FAB new entry-level hybrid luxury car, the ILX, for a week and I am taking it on a local adventure, care to join me? I am super excited about testing out this car and am planning on taking it out on the open road for some fun and fabulous local adventures with my family and I am hoping you will follow along and join me.
Since we tend to be a spontaneous family and always plan things last minute, we have nothing set in stone for this adventure and that’s where you come in. I need your creative suggestions and fun ideas of where to go, what to see, where to eat, great places to drive. We are planning on heading north of LA towards Santa Barbara/Santa Ynez on Friday and will see where the winds take us, but your input and ideas will really help. What should we do with this fun and fabulous car?????
We are a foodie family so there will definitely be yummy food stops involved, maybe some wine tasting, hiking and exploring. We are totally open to ideas and suggestions, do you have any great recommendations north of LA? Any must see/things to do? Any fantastic Restaurant recs? or Hole in the wall joints? Great drives?? My almost 9 year old son will be with us so any kid friendly suggestions are especially welcome.

Hi Romy,
I’d first use it to bring much needed supplies to the volunteers working to rebuild NY after hurricane Sandy. Then I would drive to Philly just to get a cheesesteak because I can. I’d be sure to take advantage of the extra trunk space with some black friday midnight madness! Santa needs a big sleigh! Then I’d just show off by valeting it at my favorite restaurants!
Romy – I take the Acura ILX, hit the 101 Freeway and head north straight to San Francisco, where I last left my heart. I’d seek out the one man I never truly professed my full love for, show up and let him know he mattered most. Love should always be spoken & shared. #weekwithILX
You are going to have a blast!!! If I had it for a week I would pack the family in and go on a week long road trip. I love taking pictures and I am always looking for new and amazing places for taking them! We would just drive with no direction in mind and enjoy the beautiful sites we come upon!

I know exactly what I’d do if I won a #weekwithILX! My sister and I love to take trips together, and since we’re both blues fans and history fanatics, that would be the focus of our trip. Living in Tennessee means Mississippi is in our backyard, so to speak, and Mississippi is not only the home of the Delta blues but also has some of the most fabulous antebellum houses in the whole country. From Clarksdale and the “crossroads” of Robert Johnson, to Vicksburg and the Civil War battleground, on to Natchez and the biggest collection of extant antebellum homes anywhere. This would be a dream come true trip for my sister and me, and to make it in the Acura ILX would be outstanding!
