Why Didn’t I Think of That? BASE Hair Color Only Bar in Brentwood Cali

Over the last several years, single treatment salons (like Drybar and Skin Laundry) have been cropping up all over the country and they have caught on like wildfire. Why you ask? Because they offer affordable niche focused beauty services in a stylish and welcoming atmosphere at an incredibly affordable price. These niche beauty service businesses have transformed the beauty industry and have made services that were previously thought of as a luxury or special occasion service as much more accessible to get on a regular basis.

BASE Color Bar is the brainchild of seasoned hair stylist Haleh Lekkos. Haleh is especially passionate about hair color, and for years clients have sought out her exceptional hair color all around the country. While Haleh was well aware of the consumer appetite for niche focused beauty treatment salons, she noticed that there were few affordable options for high quality hair color at a affordable price and that’s when she decided create a salon where women could go to get their base color only done at a competitive price.

BASE Color bar is a high-end salon that exclusively offers premium base color at an affordable price. Typically in a high end salon, base color can run $100+, but at BASE you can get your base color for $49, a gloss or toner for $20, a deep conditioning treatment for $20 and blowouts as a value added service for $35. Such a great idea, why didn’t I think of it?!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being invited in to BASE Color Bar in Brentwood to try out the works. The space is clean, bright, chic, comfortable and inviting (the glass of wine they offered me didn’t hurt either 😉 ) and Haleh is sweetheart. More importantly, she is seasoned hair color pro and knows her stuff! Haleh immediately knew what my hair needed: a dark chocolate base color and a shine enhancing gloss treatment with a pop of warm vibrant red. I felt totally relaxed and at ease, confident that I was sitting in the chair of a top notch expert. Take a look at my before and after pics

Not only was I thrilled with the outcome (her color rivaled the best I’ve been to for half the price!), Haleh was a doll and the salon had the perfect atmosphere to decompress from my hectic day. Honestly, I think BASE Color Bar is a brilliant idea because it makes getting your hair color professionally done much less of a spendy ordeal and more of an easy breezy monthly maintenance treatment.
