The Beach Boys brought a dose of nostalgia, Americana, fun, fireworks and their iconic surf music to the Hollywood Bowl to celebrate July 4th

July 4th Fireworks Spectacular with The Beach Boys at The Hollywood Bowl
In celebration of our nation’s independence, my hubby and I attended a spectacular evening of nostalgic music with the Beach Boys followed by a spectacular display of fireworks framing the iconic landmark. In my opinion, there is no better way to celebrate this picturesque summer holiday then by listening to the upbeat surf music of the Beach Boys under the stars, while sipping rose and feeding off the patriotic energy of the people all around us. It was such a fun, festive and infectious summer evening!

What Did We See
The fun, feel-good concert featured dozens of fan favorite familiar Beach Boys chart-toppers like “Surfin’ USA,” “I Get Around,” and “Fun, Fun, Fun” to name a few of the nostalgic tunes that we heard. Everyone was on their feet dancing, singing and having a good time!
Who’s in the Show
Aside from The Beach Boys, this super fun outdoor concert also featured the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra conducted by the legendary Thomas Wilkins along with the handsome and talented actor and singer, John Stamos on the drums, guitar and occasional vocals.
Why you should go see a concert at the Hollywood Bowl this Summer
Without a doubt, seeing a summer concert at the Hollywood Bowl is a special not-to-be-missed experience! If you have never been to the Bowl for a summer concert, it is MUST! It is an iconic outdoor concert going experience with phenomenal acoustics, wonderful performances and an amazing view of the iconic Hollywood sign. And if you are able to see a show with a fireworks finale, even better! I always have an incredible and memorable time whenever I attend a performance at the Bowl and I look forward to attending a couple of shows every summer season!
Ticket information
There is an amazing line-up of shows scheduled for the rest of Summer and early Fall at the Hollywood Bowl. Some of the additional shows that I have my eye on include: Kool & The Gang and The Village People, Diana Krall, Everybody Rise! A Sondheim Celebration and Tears for Fears to name a few. CLICK HERE to checkout the fabulous summer line-up at the Hollywood Bowl.
TIP: Pack a bottle of wine or two and some cold refreshing summer eats and make sure to get to the Hollywood Bowl a couple of hours before your concert. Then head up to Picnic Area 8, it’s a little bit of a trek because it’s the highest picnic location at the bowl. However it is totally worth it! Because it is much more remote, less crowded and we always have the best time picnicking there!
