Davis Bynum Wines Speaking of wine, I’m excited to introduce you to Davis Bynum Wines. Earlier this year, I attended a fabulous food and wine dinner hosted by Davis Bynum and met the passionate Greg Morthole, who is the current wine maker at DB and he shared the winery’s motto of “Let the Land Speak” and that they make every effort to ensure that the distinct characteristics from each vineyard shine through in every bottle. This holiday season they are highlighting their delicious 2022 Davis Bynum River West Chardonnay which is made of 100% Chardonnay grapes that underwent malolactic fermentation which creates the buttery and creamy complexity that I love when I drink Chardonnay. This wine has aromas of lemon curd, apple pie and graham cracker which lead into flavors of baked golden apple, pie crust and a sweet floral undertone and it pairs nicely with creamy soups, pastas and seafood. They are also highlighting their 2022 Davis Bynum Russian Valley Pinot Noir which is a lively red wine with aromas of ripe red cherry and toasty oak with a subtle layer of toasted marshmallow, mineral, and caramel.
